About the Client:
Our client is a leading business in Saudi Arabia (Eastern Province) who operate in the Oil & Gas industry. We are helping them to hire up to 50 experienced QC Inspectors with experience in Mechanical, Welding, Electrical, Instrumentation or Coating.
You must be CBT Certified and Aramco approved.
Job Summary:
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector will be responsible for conducting detailed inspections and verifications to ensure that all work performed complies with project specifications, industry standards, and client (Aramco) requirements. This role involves thorough examination of materials, components, and completed work across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or coating disciplines, with a focus on identifying and documenting non-conformances.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Detailed Inspections:
- Perform visual inspections, dimensional checks, and functional tests on materials, components, and completed work.
- Verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and work procedures.
- Conduct inspections of welding, electrical installations, instrumentation systems, or coating applications, depending on the assigned discipline.
- Witness and verify testing activities, including NDT, pressure tests, and calibration.
- Document and Report Findings:
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including inspection reports, checklists, and test results.
- Document non-conformances and ensure proper reporting to the QC Supervisor.
- Prepare and submit inspection reports in a timely manner.
- Utilize digital tools and software for data recording and reporting.
- Compliance and Verification:
- Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, IEC, API, ISO) and Aramco quality requirements.
- Verify material traceability and ensure materials meet specified requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures during inspections.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with QC Supervisors, contractors, and other project personnel.
- Collaborate with the QC team to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards.
- Report any quality concerns or issues to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in a relevant Engineering or technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Coating).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in quality control inspection within the Offshore, Oil & Gas or Marine industry.
- Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes related to their specific discipline.
- Experience in conducting inspections of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or coating work.
- Familiarity with Aramco quality requirements is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS CWI, NDT Level II, Electrical Inspector certifications, Instrumentation Technician certifications, Coating Inspector certifications) are preferred.
- Basic understanding of quality control software and tools.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- CBT Certification is essential.
