They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in civil engineering to ensure the integrity and compliance of their civil infrastructure projects.
Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Engineer (Civil Focus) will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance programs for civil engineering projects within the Oil & Gas facility. This individual will ensure that all civil works are executed according to project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, extensive experience in quality assurance, and excellent communication skills in English.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance Program Development & Implementation:
- Develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures for civil engineering projects.
- Establish and maintain quality control systems for civil works, including earthworks, concrete structures, and foundations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ACI, ASTM) and local regulations.
- Conduct quality audits and inspections to verify compliance with project requirements.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality control reports.
- Civil Works Inspection & Testing:
- Conduct inspections of civil works at various stages of construction, including material testing, foundation preparation, and structural integrity.
- Witness and verify testing procedures performed by contractors and suppliers.
- Analyze inspection and test results and identify non-conformances.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all inspection and testing activities.
- Material Quality Control:
- Verify the quality of civil construction materials, including concrete, steel, and aggregates.
- Conduct material inspections and testing in accordance with project specifications and standards.
- Manage material submittals and approvals.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of construction materials.
- Contractor Quality Management:
- Evaluate contractor quality management systems and procedures.
- Monitor contractor compliance with quality requirements.
- Conduct contractor quality audits and inspections.
- Provide guidance and support to contractors on quality-related issues.
- Project Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
- Generate quality reports and presentations for project stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation of non-conformances and corrective actions.
- Contribute to the development of project close-out documentation.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with project teams, contractors, and clients in English.
- Collaborate with other engineers and quality professionals.
- Provide technical support and guidance on quality-related issues.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, with a focus on civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
- Experience with quality assurance systems and procedures.
- Understanding of relevant industry standards (ACI, ASTM) and local regulations.
- Proficiency in inspection and testing techniques for civil works.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English.
Essential Skills:
