They are seeking a highly skilled and multilingual Renewable & Environmental Engineer to contribute to their growing portfolio of projects.
Job Summary:
The Renewable & Environmental Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of renewable energy and environmental projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international best practices. This individual will apply their expertise in renewable energy technologies and environmental management to develop sustainable solutions for diverse clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of renewable energy systems, environmental impact assessment, and excellent communication skills in English, Arabic, and French.
Responsibilities:
- Renewable Energy System Design & Implementation:
- Design and develop renewable energy systems, including solar PV, wind, and energy storage solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for renewable energy projects.
- Perform energy yield assessments and economic analysis.
- Select and evaluate renewable energy equipment and components.
- Develop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Environmental Impact Assessment & Management:
- Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for various projects.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs).
- Conduct environmental audits and monitoring programs.
- Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations (EAD) and international standards.
- Develop and implement pollution control and waste management strategies.
- Sustainability & Green Building Practices:
- Integrate sustainable design principles and green building practices into projects.
- Conduct life cycle assessments (LCAs) and carbon footprint analyses.
- Develop and implement strategies for water conservation and energy efficiency.
- Evaluate and recommend sustainable materials and technologies.
- Project Management & Execution:
- Manage and oversee renewable energy and environmental projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor progress.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Technical Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Document project designs, calculations, and specifications.
- Maintain accurate project records and data.
- Develop and maintain databases of environmental and renewable energy data.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams in English, Arabic, and French.
- Collaborate with other engineers and environmental scientists.
- Provide technical training and support.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Renewable & Environmental Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems and environmental management principles.
- Experience with environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance.
- Understanding of sustainability and green building practices.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English, Arabic, and French (written and spoken).
Essential Skills:
- Multilingual Proficiency: Fluent in English, Arabic, and French (written and spoken).
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of renewable energy systems and environmental management.
- Environmental Impact Assessment: Experience with EIA and regulatory compliance.
- Sustainability Knowledge: Understanding of sustainability and green building practices.
- Project Management: Ability to manage renewable energy and environmental projects.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in all three languages.
Desirable Skills:
