They are committed to driving sustainable energy adoption and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Energy Engineer to join their team.
Job Summary:
The Solar Energy Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of solar energy projects, providing technical expertise and consultancy services to clients. This individual will conduct feasibility studies, design solar PV systems, and oversee project execution, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of solar energy technologies, excellent project management skills, and effective communication in English.
Responsibilities:
- Solar PV System Design & Development:
- Design and develop solar PV systems for various applications, including residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal solar energy solutions.
- Perform energy yield assessments and economic analysis.
- Select and evaluate solar PV equipment and components.
- Develop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Project Management & Execution:
- Manage and oversee the execution of solar energy projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor installation progress.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations (DEWA, etc.) and international standards.
- Perform system commissioning and performance testing.
- Technical Consulting & Advisory:
- Provide technical advice and consultancy services to clients on solar energy solutions.
- Conduct energy audits and recommend energy efficiency improvements.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations and reports.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest solar energy technologies and industry trends.
- Regulatory Compliance & Permitting:
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and permitting requirements for solar energy projects.
- Prepare and submit permit applications and technical documentation.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and obtain necessary approvals.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze solar energy system performance data and generate reports.
- Develop and maintain databases of solar energy project data.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and management.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams in English.
- Collaborate with other engineers and consultants to deliver integrated energy solutions.
- Provide technical training and support to clients and staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Solar Energy Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV system design and installation.
- Experience with solar energy simulation and design software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD).
- Understanding of local regulations and international standards for solar energy projects.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
