The Role
This position is designed for an ambitious Civil Engineer eager to work on large-scale Swiss transport projects. You will be responsible for the technical planning and implementation of railway civil engineering works, with a specific focus on track geometry and alignment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Technical Engineering: Lead planning and design tasks for diverse railway projects, ranging from local upgrades to major regional infrastructure.
- Project Lifecycle: Manage work packages across all phases, ensuring a seamless transition from initial design to site commissioning.
- Specialist Coordination: Develop structural solutions in direct alignment with internal experts in tunnelling, railway technology, and environmental engineering.
- BIM Integration: Champion the use of Digital Twin and BIM methodologies within the infrastructure space, ensuring data-driven design accuracy.
Your Professional Background
- Education: A degree in Civil Engineering from a Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), a University of Applied Sciences (FH), or an equivalent international institution.
- Aspiration: A genuine interest in the complexities of major railway construction and a desire to take on significant technical responsibility.
- Digital Mindset: A proactive interest in BIM/VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) methods.
- Soft Skills: An independent, efficient work style combined with a communicative, team-oriented personality.
