The Firm
Our client is a distinguished European engineering and consulting group known for delivering high-impact infrastructure and building solutions. Operating with a focus on sustainability and precision, their Rapperswil office serves as a regional hub for structural excellence. They are currently seeking a dual-role professional capable of blending high-level structural design with robust project management.
The Scope of Work
This role offers a unique split between technical engineering and strategic leadership. The successful candidate will navigate the full lifecycle of complex building projects, from the first static model to the final handover.
As a Project Manager:
- Lifecycle Leadership: Direct the planning and commissioning of high-profile new builds and structural renovations.
- Consultative Design: Work alongside architects and developers to engineer bespoke solutions for foundations and load-bearing systems.
- Operational Control: Maintain full accountability for project P&L, resource scheduling, and quality assurance.
- Strategic Growth: Partner with the Branch Manager to identify market trends and support the acquisition of new regional mandates.
As a Project Engineer:
- Structural Analysis: Perform rigorous dimensioning and static modelling for timber, steel, and reinforced concrete structures.
- Technical Reporting: Author detailed feasibility studies, cost assessments, and comprehensive tendering documentation.
- Interdisciplinary Sync: Coordinate seamlessly with internal MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) specialists and external consultants to ensure structural harmony.
Your Professional Background
- Education: A university degree in Civil Engineering (ETH/FH or equivalent).
- Expertise: A proven track record in Swiss structural engineering, specifically in excavations and complex foundation work.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in AxisVM, Cubus, or DC-Grundbaustatik is essential.
- Communication: As this role involves heavy negotiation with local authorities and clients, native-level or C1 German is mandatory.
- Character: A proactive, "entrepreneurial" mindset with a focus on cost-effective, sustainable engineering.
Perks & Culture
- Independent Mandates: You will be given the autonomy to lead projects without micro-management.
- Continuing Education: A dedicated internal academy providing certification in BIM (Building Information Modelling) and advanced leadership.
- Modern Infrastructure: A digitally integrated office located in the heart of Rapperswil, designed for collaborative and flexible working.
- Professional Network: Access to a vast pool of international experts, allowing you to draw on specialized knowledge for unique structural challenges.
