Are you a meticulous and experienced Senior Accountant with strong expertise in cost accounting and UAE VAT?
A well-established multinational company within the Consumer Goods and Tobacco Manufacturing sector is seeking a results-oriented individual to manage the daily accounting functions for its Dubai & Umm Al Quwain offices.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be the backbone of the daily finance operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance:
- Daily Accounting & Controls: Managing general ledger entries, processing transactions, and ensuring adherence to daily financial controls.
- Month-End Process: Taking ownership of the month-end closing procedures and ensuring timely finalisation of accounts for the Dubai operation.
- Reconciliation: Performing timely and accurate reconciliations of bank statements, intercompany balances, and all key ledger accounts.
- VAT & Compliance: Handling all aspects of UAE VAT, including calculation, documentation, and timely filing with regulatory bodies.
- Reporting Support: Providing essential support for financial reporting and analysis, particularly in areas related to cost accounting.
Requirements:
- Experience: 4–8 years of dedicated accounting experience.
- Technical Expertise: Mandatory strong, practical knowledge of Cost Accounting principles and systems.
- VAT Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in managing and filing UAE VAT is essential.
- Skills: Highly detail-oriented, proficient in standard accounting software and advanced Excel functions, and capable of meeting strict deadlines independently.
