The Role
We're looking for a Senior Java Developer to play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable Java applications within the financial services sector. In this position, you'll be a technical leader, mentoring junior developers and ensuring the delivery of top-tier software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Software Development: Design and develop complex Java-based financial applications, RESTful APIs, and microservices. You'll work on everything from payments to trading systems, all while optimizing for performance and scalability.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide junior developers, conduct code reviews, and help make architectural decisions. We need your expertise to evaluate and recommend new technologies that will keep us ahead of the curve.
- Domain Expertise: Apply your knowledge of financial industry practices and regulations to build applications that directly support our core business functions. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams in both Arabic and English. You'll work in a fast-paced environment and provide clear updates during project meetings.
What You'll Bring
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in Java development, focusing on enterprise applications.
- Extensive experience with Java EE, the Spring Framework, and related technologies.
- Strong knowledge of database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and experience with microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English is essential.
- Experience with financial systems and Agile methodologies is required.
- Bonus points if you have experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), message queues (Kafka), or CI/CD pipelines.
