Their Lausanne division acts as a regional powerhouse for the development, design, and execution of large-scale civil engineering projects. They are currently looking for a seasoned Construction Manager to join their multidisciplinary team and oversee the technical and financial lifecycle of landmark transport mandates in the Romandie region.
The Role
This position is tailored for a professional who thrives in the execution phase of major engineering works. You will be responsible for ensuring that critical infrastructure projects - from initial design office studies to site completion are delivered with technical precision and financial rigor.
Core Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Drive the execution of major construction and maintenance mandates for road and rail infrastructure.
- Tender Management: Lead the preparation of comprehensive tender documents and technical specifications.
- Technical & Financial Governance: Monitor project budgets, technical compliance, and adherence to rigorous Swiss safety and quality standards.
- Schedule Management: Ensure all project milestones are met through proactive coordination with a skilled team of engineers and contractors.
- Regional Development: Contribute to the strategic growth of the region’s infrastructure through high-quality project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
Your Professional Profile
- Educational Background: Degree in Civil Engineering from a Swiss Federal Institute of Technology or University of Applied Sciences (EPFL, HES, or ES) or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Swiss Experience: Proven track record within a Swiss engineering or design firm, specifically in a role involving complex infrastructure or tunnel construction.
- Professional Ease: Several years of industry experience, demonstrating the ability to manage diverse and technically demanding projects independently.
- Linguistic Mastery: Native or professional-level fluency in French (written and spoken) is essential for this location.
- Digital Aptitude: Experience with or a strong interest in BIM (Building Information Modelling) and other digital design methodologies is a distinct advantage.
