The Opportunity
Our client is a leading European engineering firm at the forefront of the "Smart Infrastructure" revolution. Their mission is to modernize transportation through the integration of sustainable energy solutions and intelligent traffic management systems. The Electrical Engineering division is currently expanding its Zurich team, seeking a leader to bridge the gap between innovative design and technical implementation for mission-critical operational and safety equipment (OSE).
The Role
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the technical and commercial success of demanding infrastructure mandates. This role requires a blend of strategic planning and hands-on technical coordination to ensure that modern transport systems operate safely and efficiently.
Core Responsibilities:
- Project Governance: Lead the full lifecycle of complex electrotechnical projects, maintaining strict oversight of quality, schedules, and budgets.
- Advisory & Liaison: Act as the primary technical consultant for building owners, federal authorities, and external engineering partners.
- System Design: Develop comprehensive technical analyses, strategic roadmaps, and conceptual designs for electromechanical systems.
- On-Site Execution: Take a lead role in the commissioning phase, including integrated systems testing and final technical acceptance procedures.
- Market Support: Contribute to the firm's growth by supporting the acquisition of new regional and national projects.
Your Professional Profile
- Education: A university degree in Electrical Engineering (ETH/Uni/FH/HF) or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Expertise: Several years of project management experience within the electrotechnical or infrastructure sectors.
- Sector Knowledge: Ideally, you have a background in tunnel safety and operational systems (OSE/BSA) or high-voltage energy distribution.
- Digital Tools: Proficiency in modern project management environments, including MS Project and collaborative platforms.
- Linguistic Skills: Professional fluency in German is required. Proficiency in French is highly desirable for coordinating with national stakeholders.
Why Join This Firm?
- Pioneering Projects: Play a decisive role in large-scale infrastructure projects that define the future of Swiss mobility.
- Digital Innovation: Lead the way in digital construction by utilizing BIM/VDC, BIM2Field, and other cutting-edge data management tools.
- Collaborative Culture: Work within a multidisciplinary environment that values diversity of thought and professional team spirit.
- Modern Flexibility: Benefit from a results-oriented work model with flexible hours, home office options, and a central Zurich office.
- Knowledge Exchange: Access a structured internal professional development network where specialists across all disciplines share expertise and mentor emerging talent.
