Our client is a globally recognized engineering and environmental consultancy dedicated to advancing the circular economy. Known for their commitment to sustainability and technical excellence, they are currently seeking an experienced leader to join their Water & Environment division in Zurich.

The Opportunity

In this role, the successful candidate will oversee the lifecycle of major municipal and industrial wastewater treatment initiatives. This is an opportunity to lead high-visibility infrastructure projects that directly improve regional water quality and resource efficiency, working within a highly collaborative, international network of experts.

Key Responsibilities

Project Governance: Assume full delivery responsibility for complex projects in wastewater treatment and urban drainage systems.
Technical Design: Oversee the design and implementation of sophisticated process engineering plants and industrial-grade structures.
Leadership: Lead and mentor interdisciplinary project teams, ensuring seamless coordination across different engineering disciplines.
Strategic Consulting: Act as a primary advisor to clients from the initial strategic planning phase through to commissioning and operational handover.
Digital Transformation: Drive the application and continuous improvement of BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodologies across all project stages.

Your Profile

The firm is looking for a seasoned professional who combines technical depth with a commercial mindset.

Education: A university degree (ETH/FH or equivalent) in Environmental, Civil, or Cultural Engineering.
Experience: 5 to 10 years of proven experience as a Project Manager or Engineer, specifically within the municipal or industrial wastewater sectors. Experience in site management and construction supervision is highly preferred.
BIM Proficiency: Practical experience in collaborative, digital project environments.
Communication: Strong organizational skills and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments with confidence.
Languages: Native or professional fluency in German is required. Proficiency in English and/or French is a significant advantage.
