With a large team operating across numerous locations in Switzerland and abroad, they focus on delivering demanding, innovative, and efficient projects in close partnership with their clients. Key Responsibilities

As the Head of Civil Engineering Works, you will provide comprehensive technical and management leadership for major infrastructure projects in the Vaud and Valais regions.

A. Project and Site Management Leadership

  • Lead the overall management, organization, and technical-administrative oversight of complex civil engineering construction sites.
  • Ensure effective DLT (Design/Project Leadership Team) management and coordination.
  • Serve as the representative for the Project Owner, maintaining rigorous control over project scope, costs, and deadlines.
  • Provide essential support to project owners for site coordination with all relevant external and internal stakeholders.

Technical and Financial Oversight

  • Manage construction site monitoring, focusing on critical infrastructure projects, including civil engineering structures, geotechnical works, reinforced concrete bridges, road works, and retaining walls.
  • Perform detailed financial monitoring of the construction site, including measurements, processing additional offers, and managing budgets.
  • Ensure all project operations adhere to required Swiss standards and technical specifications.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

We are seeking a highly experienced civil engineer with deep knowledge of the Swiss infrastructure landscape.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: HES or EPF Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience, with proven expertise in diverse civil engineering fields (e.g., reinforced concrete bridges, road works, retaining walls).
  • Sector Expertise: Mandatory experience working on OFROU (Federal Roads Office) construction sites.
  • Swiss Context: Required professional experience in Switzerland.
  • Language: Professional fluency in French.
  • Geographic Focus: Willingness to work on sites across the Vaud / Valais cantons.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Thorough knowledge of SIA standards; familiarity with OFROU technical documents is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and budgets with accuracy.
  • Strong soft skills: autonomy, rigor, team collaboration, and a well-developed overall vision for project execution.
  • Proficiency in the Office 365 environment.
