Our client is a leading construction company in Dubai, specializing in the development of major infrastructure projects. They are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Civil Engineering Manager to lead their road construction projects.
Job Summary:
The Civil Engineering Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and management of road construction projects in Dubai. This individual will leverage their specialized expertise in road construction to ensure projects are delivered safely, within budget, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of road construction principles, extensive experience in the UAE construction industry, and excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management & Planning:
- Lead and manage all aspects of road construction projects, from initial planning to final handover.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed construction plans, specifications, and method statements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety requirements.
- Manage and mitigate project risks.
- Technical Leadership & Supervision:
- Provide expert technical guidance and support to the project team.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, engineers, and site personnel.
- Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved plans and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
- Resolve technical issues and provide on-site solutions.
- Road Construction Specialization:
- Possess in depth knowledge of road construction materials, techniques, and equipment.
- Manage pavement design, construction, and maintenance.
- Oversee the installation of drainage systems, traffic management systems, and other road infrastructure elements.
- Ensure that all road construction works meet the requirements of local authorities (RTA, etc.).
- Knowledge of highway design software.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams in both Arabic and English.
- Prepare and present project progress reports and presentations.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed records of all project related activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in road construction preferred.
- 8-10 years of proven experience in managing road construction projects in the UAE.
- Extensive knowledge of road construction materials, techniques, and equipment.
- Strong understanding of local regulations and international standards related to road construction.
- Proficiency in project management software and relevant engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Valid UAE Driving License.
- Valid UAE Society of Engineers membership.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
Essential Skills:
