Job Summary:
The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures to protect the company's software applications, networks, and data. This role requires a deep understanding of cyber security principles, best practices, and threat landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Security Implementation & Management:
- Design and implement security architectures and solutions to protect systems and data.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Configure and manage security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM solutions.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Monitor security logs and alerts for suspicious activity.
- Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
- Implement and manage security within cloud environments.
- Incident Response & Threat Management:
- Respond to security incidents and breaches and conduct forensic investigations.
- Analyze and mitigate cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Stay up to date on the latest security threats and trends.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans.
- Perform security risk assessments.
- Compliance & Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, Qatari cyber security laws).
- Conduct security audits and assessments.
- Prepare security reports and documentation.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate security risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide security training and awareness to employees.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Communicate effectively in both Arabic and English.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in cyber security.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Knowledge of network security, operating system security, and application security.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+).
- Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
