They specialize in a diverse portfolio, including large-scale residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments, and are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in Doha.
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects within Qatar. This role requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, local regulations, and construction practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Design:
- Develop detailed project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Conduct site surveys and geotechnical investigations.
- Design and analyze structural elements, including roads, bridges, buildings, and infrastructure.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) for design and drafting.
- Ensure designs comply with local regulations and international standards.
Project Management:
- Oversee construction activities and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to management.
- Manage project documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
- Solve technical problems and address design challenges.
- Evaluate materials and construction methods.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct load calculations and structural analysis.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure projects comply with Qatari building codes and regulations.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local construction practices and regulations.
Client Liaison:
- Communicate effectively with clients and address their concerns.
- Provide technical presentations and project updates.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- 10+ years of experience in civil engineering projects, preferably in Qatar or the Gulf region.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and other relevant engineering software.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Qatari driving license (preferred).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent (preferred).
